Marsh About Img

I’m an media artist, filmmaker/animator & hardware hacker living in Atlanta. I tell stories. The ones I find most interesting are those with a touch of magic that test the boundaries of technology—both realms are sources of perpetual fascination.

My PhD is in Theatre, specializing in digital media and interactive performance, and I have an MFA in computer animation.

I teach film production (editing, cinematography, audio design), screenwriting, and interactive media courses including game design and 3D printing. In the recent past, I’ve taught animation (generalist Maya pipeline: modeling, texturing, rigging, animating, rendering) as well as English, engineering, and coding. For ten years (2009-2019) I taught at the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program, serving as chair of the Design / Engineering / Computer Science department.
